This is going to be tricky.
If a hypnotized person reads this they’re going to be upset. That’s normal. It’s a function of being hypnotized to reject the notion you are and to reject the person telling you. Don’t take this personally. This is the narrative talking, not them.
A hypnotized person will not understand you unless you’re one of them. They are programmed to reject anything outside the hypnotic narrative. Their immediate reaction will be defensive and possibly hostile, using nasty names or sarcasm. Again, don’t take any of this personally. It’s not about you.
It’s not about them, either.
Identification
Being hypnotized means developing a sense of reality and identity around ideas and beliefs suggested to you without your knowing. This identification makes any cricitism of those beliefs personal. To challenge the belief is to challenge who you are and your reality. To show you the belief is false, even to present evidence, cannot, must not be tolerated. It triggers a primal life-or-death reaction: If my beliefs are wrong, my identity is wrong, I don’t know who I am anymore, I’m going to die. If my whole reality is false, my world will fall apart.
Of course, you’re not going to die, your idea of reality is going to die. And thus we have our problem.
Riddles and Rewards
So talking to a hypnotized person has to be done in a special way. To subvert their sense of false reality, which they believe is unquestionably real, another type of hypnosis is needed. To out-hypnotize them, so to speak. Speaking in riddles is one as it promotes brain activity outside of their closed-loop hypnotic narrative. Giving them something to think about, as opposed to telling them what to believe, which is already suggested to them day in, day out.
For example: If the masks work, why the six feet? If the six feet works, why the masks? If they both work, why the lockdowns? If all three work, why the vaccines? If the vaccines work, why are the unvaccinated dangerous? If the vaccines are safe, why the No Liability clause?
You may not get an answer.
Too many riddles or too complex riddles may lead to confusion and crisis. While this has a potentially beneficial effect to academic minds, it may lead to internal system breakdown and the need for treatment. Begin with simple riddles and work up.
For example: If our neighbors aren’t vaccinated, why can’t they buy food?
Offer a reward after each one, such as meeting again for coffee or lunch, or if the gender and chemistry are right after sufficient riddles, a date. You never know.
After all, the hypnotic narrative includes rewards, why shouldn’t you?
Humour
Another method is humor and satire, (“like this article” for the cognitive-impaired). Presenting your subversive material in a way that stimulates laughter and relaxes the brain from its fixed hypnotic state enables easier assimilation of new ideas and bypasses the hypnotic gatekeepers.
Those gatekeepers are programmed to be vicious, armed to the teeth, baring their fangs like chained Rottweilers on heat. Be careful. Approaching a hypnotized person with confrontational material or worse, factual evidence, can lead to violent behavior.
This is, of course, how they’ve been hypnotized to behave: Protection of false beliefs, identity and reality at all costs. There has been discussion of protective suits worn during in-person communication with a hypnotized person. While this is optional it is highly recommended when talking to a group of hypnotized people, especially if they are armed.
Incognito
However, when you have mastered the art of talking to a hypnotized person it is possible to appear incognito and non-threatening. Then subverting their false reality becomes undetectable as you gently submit ideas provoking self-assessment and idealogical critique unnoticed. They will begin having new thoughts, gradually beginning to question what they normally took for granted or dismissed entirely. Stimulus of new brain activity without force is the key. They will feel strangely drawn to new ideas and even new behavior.
Well done! You have succeeded in talking to a hypnotized person.
Idolatry
But be warned. A person you have successfully subverted may desire more of your company and begin to idolize you. This has severe outcomes and should be discouraged immediately. One outcome is being de-idolized, kicked off the pedestal they placed you on when they realize you subverted them by trickery. Fortunately this is only a passing phase and there have been no cases of re-idolizing.
Another outcome is if they increase their idol worship and either make you a saint and begin following you or begin stalking you. Neither is particularly desirable.
A third and currently rare option is fatal. The person will realize you are trying to undermine their hypnotic suggestion before subversion and kill you. This is the extreme fail-safe of the hypnotic narrative and should be avoided at all costs. However, instances are beginning to rise as the hypnotic false reality becomes challenged at street level with mass protests around the world. This might be a good time for the protective suit.
Forgiveness
Above all, an understanding and compassionate hand is required when talking to a hypnotized person. Realize that their thoughts are not their own, however much they believe they are and however much they talk as if they are. As thought stimulates behavior and action, what they do may seem counterproductive, self-harming, self-sabotaging and downright stupid, like being injected with a toxic substance that may kill them or disable them for life - but get a free doughnut.
Forgiveness is needed here as a hypnotized person truly has no idea of reality outside of the hypnotic narrative.
Grand Masters of subversion have appeared throughout history. The most famous of them was, of course, tortured and put to death for it and then idolized for centuries up unto this day. He has a massive following, although most of his followers were re-hypnotized by the organizations formed to take control and prevent futher subversion.
If you are brave enough to try your own attempts at mastering subversion of a hypnotized person, please report back in the comments below! Best of luck!
And remember, don’t let on!
The Split Narrative
A final note: if you are as truly offended by this as I think some of you might be - at least if you’ve got this far without white knuckles or breaking something - let it be the beginning of what I call a ‘split narrative’, where a new story begins to enter your mind that can exist alongside the suggested one. Then you can exercise new brain activity to discern between the two ideas on your own, without suggestion, and adapt to alternative fact-based realites without resorting to nasty names, angry emojis or long accusing comments I’ll never read.
Or you could use your independent critical-thinking skills, trust the science and ‘go for the doughnut’.
One of the best riddles that my coworkers who were jabbed couldn't deny....
(Mind you, I think virus theory is mythology, but I met them in the middle)
If this is a new variant that is very different, omicron... Why didn't they update the mRNA code or make the vaccine have multiple variants inside it? Why didn't they update the shots for Delta?
They said that it would take a lot of time
I said, but they were able to start the original vaccines within days of getting the Wuhan coding. Even if it takes a month or two, isn't it smart to use this "quick vaccine" tech up to date with what is out there?
I suggested that they wait for the booster, because pfizer etc were saying that they were going to update the shots in 3 months. (Whatever happened to that? Lol)
Crickets. They still went and got the booster. One got sick after the booster for a few days but is ok now.
Face palm. 🤦♂️
I’m so happy I talked you into starting a Substack because I am enjoying your pieces immensely 😄
As you know, this is a topic dear to my heart and a puzzle (a riddle, if you will ;-) I continually struggle to crack, so I greatly appreciate your ideas on this matter.
*lol* re: offering a reward after each successful riddle-solving. Since you are dealing with a Pavlovian creature molded by behavioral psychology, you’re probably on the right track.
The whole paragraph on idolatry is gold, but especially this line: “Fortunately this is only a passing phase and there have been no cases of re-idolizing.” 🤣
And then you ramped it up to another hysterical degree in the next graf. And kept going!
As Homer Simpson would say, “Mmm … donuts.” 🤤
