I’m so glad I got vaccinated. Now I have my Vaccine Pass I can go on holiday again! I can shop for those new jeans I’ve been wanting, I can go wherever I like! I can even stock up the kitchen. As for those selfish anti-vaxxers, I’m glad they’re being put away in those camps. They only think about themselves.
Now, should I fly to Mikonos or Malta? What am I going to wear?!
I’m so happy I have my freedom back. I never thought it would happen! I’m so thankful the government has taken such good care of us. They’ve censored all that harmful extremist ranting by those horrid anti-vaxxers. Now we’re protected, we can only see what we need to see. I feel so safe for that. Who needs free speech anyhow? It only leads to terrorism.
Now they’ve closed the libraries I can stop reading books altogether. After all, we’ve got the television and there’s such good shows these days! I watch the news every morning while I have breakfast, and at lunch. It’s so shocking how many people are dying from the variants! Thank goodness I got vaccinated in time. The streets are so peaceful now there are no protests like there used to be. I think everyone has accepted the fact that we must be good obedient citizens to be protected. I don’t want to get close to anyone who hasn’t had the vaccine. I wouldn’t want them to breathe on me!! Urgh!
Then I watch the news again at 6 o’clock. We must stay informed, you know! Then again at 9. I can’t believe there are still people who deny the pandemic or that so many people are dying from the latest variant, whatever it is. Who do they think they are? Uninformed, if you ask me. They clearly don’t watch the news. Bloody idiots! Dangerous! They’re the ones that are infecting people! Jab them or lock them up, that’s what I say!
I’m so glad I have my freedom again. There’s a big bonfire happening tomorrow. The library has donated all its books to get burned as they’re infected from people touching them. Ew! There’ll be free drinks and it’s only for the vaccinated, of course. We’ll have such a great time seeing all those dirty infected books go up in flames!
I don’t really need to think too much anymore. It’s such a relief not to try and figure things out. It was getting quite stressful. Now we’re given instructions it all feels so safe. I’m so glad they’re telling us what to do, it’s so much easier. The government even send text messages with daily advice! If I’m suspicious of anyone, I should tell them immediately. I think I saw a neighbor inside his house without a mask. I should probably report him. He might be ‘one of those!’
Well, it’s time for the news again. I’d better watch it so I don’t miss out on the latest shocking events. It’s so traumatic to see what’s happening around the world. I start shaking sometimes but the doctor’s given me a sedative I can take especially formulated for news broadcasts. Thank goodness for modern medicine!
There’s that smell of burning again. Someone must be having a barbecue. Oh, I know, it’s the crematorium they’ve set up next to the quarantine camp. It’s been so busy lately.
🤣😂😆😹
You are *way* too good at getting into the mindset of a Covidian!
These pieces are yummier and more addictive than popcorn. I could read a whole book of them in one sitting.
Glad I found your substack. Really interesting writing. I just posted on Fear vs Love as well. If you're interested: https://bumpintheroad.substack.com/p/the-illusion-of-control
